We believe that only a well-informed homeowner can choose the right home inspector. The following checklist is provided to assist you in interviewing prospective home inspectors.

1. Do you have formal training as a home inspector? YES. I have extensive classroom training followed by a nationally recognized program of in-field internship.    
2. Are you a member of a professional inspector association? If so, which one(s)? YES. The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).    
3. Do you carry Errors & Omissions and General Liability insurance? YES.     
4. Do you perform home inspections on a full-time basis? YES. My only business is doing home inspections.    
5. Do you produce a narrative versus a checklist type report? YES. My report is a comprehensive narrative report provided to you in a custom binder with a complimentary home maintenance manual.    
6. Will you provide me with references? YES. I am happy to provide you with client references.    
7. Will I receive my report quickly? YES. In most cases your report can be printed on-site.    
8. Will you repair any problems or conditions you find for an additional charge? NO. It is a conflict of interest for a home inspector to do repair work on a home he/she inspects.    
9. Do you offer a written warranty for your service? YES. We provide you with a written warranty on our service and performance.    
10. May I attend the inspection along with my REALTORŪ? YES. I encourage both you and your REALTORŪ to accompany me on the inspection.
